Railway

There is only one railway line to Xizang available, the Qinghai-Xizang railyway. It connects Xining and Lhasa, covering 1,956 kilometers.

Its railway station - Lhasa Railway Station, is located in Liuwu New District, southwest of Lhasa, and more than 10 kilometers away from the Potala Palace. The Liuwu Bridge on the Lhasa River connects the railway station to Lhasa's downtown area. The station is 3,641 meters above sea level.
