Kunming Economic and Technological Development Zone

Kunming Economic and Technological Development Zone (the "economic and technological development zone") is located in the eastern area of Kunming and covers 9.8 square kilometers. 

It was built in 1992 and added to the list of national industrial development zones by the State Council in 2000.

The economic and technological development zone attached great importance to its industrial upgrading, ranked first among all industrial parks from across the entire province, and was designated a provincial new-type industrialized industry demonstration base.
