China's water transportation investment up 30.3% in Jan-May 2023

China's investment in the construction of water transportation infrastructure grew by 30.3% year on year to reach 73.4 billion yuan (US$10.12 billion) in the first five months of 2023, and the expansion has helped to stabilize economic growth and drive domestic demand, the country's vice minister of transport said Friday.
