Beijing visitors ring in Spring Festival at Ditan Park Temple Fair

Food and shopping remained central attractions. More than 100 stalls offered Beijing time-honored brand products, intangible cultural heritage crafts such as sugar paintings, dough figurines, pinwheels and diabolos (kongzhu), and packaged New Year goods.

Vendors also served up traditional temple fair snacks ranging from large meat skewers and old Beijing-style tripe soup to regional specialties from across China. Traditional fair games, including ring toss and target shooting, continued to draw both adults and children.
