Chinese Kung Fu dance drama captivates Romanian audience

A Wing Chun kung fu master class held recently attracted more than a dozen martial arts enthusiasts. Some of them have developed a passion for this form of Chinese kung fu decades ago.

On the sweltering Monday evening in Athens, a group of young Greek athletes were practicing new martial arts moves they have learned during their recent visit to China. During breaks, they couldn't stop discussing the beautiful places they had seen and the experience of training with Chinese teachers.

The 2024 Shaolin Games Finals concluded Sunday, with those who placed in the top 10 earning the title of "Shaolin kung fu star" after a two-day competition at the historic Shaolin Temple in Henan province.

Participants in two new special training camps for action movie actors, organized by Chinese action megastar Wu Jing's "Yingwutang" initiative, staged a graduation show in Beijing on July 6.

​In a Wushu club located in the city of Sulaymaniyah in Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan region, over 100 local Chinese martial arts enthusiasts clad in traditional training attire are diligently practicing Wushu routines, with each strike executed with power, precision, and a thunderous short yell "he-ha."

The Shaolin Temple, located in Dengfeng, Zhengzhou city, Henan Province, is known as the birthplace of Chinese kung fu. It is not only a tourist attraction, but also a world heritage site.

From April 7 to 19, a team of about 50 French tourists visited Guizhou Province, experiencing local culture and practicing Taichi as well as Qigong along the journey with their master Ke Wen, who founded Les Temps du Corp, an association promoting Chinese culture in France.
