China-US youth embrace ethnic culture, rural charm in Yunnan

Editor's note: A group of 22 young delegates from China and the United States visited southwest China's Yunnan province from July 15 to 20 as part of the 2026 "Across the Pacific: China-U.S. Youth Dialogue for A Shared Future" exchange program. 

The delegation visited Kunming and Dali Bai autonomous prefecture, delving into local ethnic cultures, traditional village life and scenic natural landscapes while observing rural development and cultural heritage preservation in action. The program was co-hosted by the Center for the Americas of China International Communications Group and the China-America Student Conference.
