As Shanghai Disney Resort gears up for its 10th anniversary, President and General Manager Andrew Bolstein said on Jan. 20 that various activities will begin in March alongside several ambitious projects already underway.

On Dec. 31, 2025, Shanghai Disney Resort unveiled its "10th Birthday" logo for the first time, signaling the beginning of a year-long celebration. The design was projected onto the iconic Enchanted Storybook Castle and features the number "10" silhouetted over the castle.
As well as these enchanting new visuals there is a large plus sign "+" alongside the "20 ". It represents the Chinese character for "ten" and reflects the idea of "plus more" magic to be unveiled. As articulated in its tagline, "With You, It's Magic+," the "+" also pays homage to every guest, cast member, and partner who has shared in the resort's journey, creating magic together, Bolstein explained.
The resort will celebrate the Spring Festival with Bullseye from "Toy Story" and Mickey and Friends as the Chinese zodiac Year of the Horse approaches. From Jan. 28 to March 3, guests can enjoy traditional festivities merged with Disney magic, offering horse-themed décor, special entertainment, and seasonal treats.
The resort is now adorned in auspicious red and gold, featuring horse-shaped lanterns and a giant lantern display. Bullseye will make his resort debut on Jan. 28 and appear during the daily Spring Festival Drum Ceremony and in Disney • Pixar Toy Story Land.
Across Shanghai Disneyland during this holiday the horses from beloved Disney stories will arrive to spread good fortune. Guests will be able to ride the 62 flying horses of the Fantasia Carousel. At Woody's Roundup, Andy's toy ponies will cart guests around to lively music.
The world of "Zootopia 2" comes to life in Shanghai's Zootopia Land, where visitors can meet new fan favorites like the lively Zebros and the upbeat Mayor Brian Wind dancer, who welcomes guests with "Happy Lucky Ear Festival" greetings in an immersive style.
Since the opening in 2023, Zootopia Land has become one of Disney's most beloved attractions, with more than 90% of visitors already familiar with the film, a quarter listing it as their main reason for coming, and an impressive 95% rating Zootopia: Hot Pursuit as "Excellent" or "Very Good."
The excitement has only intensified with "Zootopia 2," which set global records by grossing over $1.7 billion, becoming Disney's top-earning animated film and the highest-grossing foreign release ever in China. As enthusiasm for Judy and Nick's world grows, Zootopia merchandise sales have exploded—quadrupling after the land's debut in 2016 and doubling again following the release of "Zootopia 2" compared to 2023.

According to the TEA Global Experience Index 2024 released by the Themed Entertainment Association in late Oct. 2025, Shanghai Disney Resort welcomed 14.7 million visitors, building upon the previous year's 14 million. Among the "Top 25 Amusement/Theme Parks Worldwide," Shanghai Disneyland again ranked fifth globally and first in China.
In 2025, Shanghai Disney Resort welcomed its 100 millionth guest and advanced expansion projects. Approximately three-quarters of guests rated their visit as "Excellent" or "Very Good." The ninth themed land, based on Spider-Man, broke ground in May 2025, with attraction installation starting in Sept. 2025. Construction is advancing steadily, and photos shared by Bolstein demonstrate that the land's high-thrill roller coaster entered its track installation phase at the end of last year.
To accommodate the continued growth and success of the park, the third themed hotel, having reached structural completion last year, is now undergoing interior fit-out and facade installation. Work is also progressing on a fourth themed hotel, an expansion of the iconic "Soaring Over the Horizon" attraction, and a new residential community to enrich the lives of those working as Disney cast members.
