Beijing photo exhibition captures pastoral life in Xinjiang

Editor's note: The exhibition "Morning in the Wind," on display at a small shop in Jianchang Hutong, Beijing, through Feb. 22, features a collection of images by photographer Wang Peirong documenting daily life in the pastoral areas of China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Compiled during a two-year residency, the series examines the harmonious coexistence between local people and the natural landscape, highlighting the personal interactions that define the community's way of life.
